Over and out.
Hello fellow earthlings!
Wanted to let you all know the blog will go on indefinite hiatus as of today for a lot of reasons. I could go on quite a bit here about why I've come to this decision, but I don't want to take up any more time of your weekend than I already am. I'll still continue with ArcadeFireTube over at YouTube and we'll see about the what kind of action there will be on my twitter. Haven't made my mind up about the twittering as of right now. Probably very sporadic action.
It's been 3 really fun years. I've got to know a lot of people out there from far and not so far away who shares my admiration for this band and who I'll continue to keep in touch with. All of you, regardless of course if it's the first time you've made your way to this place or if you've been a reader from day 1, can still find me on my e-mail/on YouTube/on Twitter - links also in the sidebar. I encourage you to drop a line if you feel like it. So lovely people, a big thank you for being so very amazing over the years.
Can't wait to get my hands on The Suburbs come August. It sounds very different to anything they've done before based on the new songs and I like this kind of different.
Have a terrific summer and I'll see you rockers up the front at an Arcade Fire show near you.
... oh and Emelie, dance yourself dizzy to Haiti this summer again!

Album announcement day recap
I wish I wasn't so busy with other stuff. I don't really have time to write too much on here so I'm just going to throw up some things that's happened during the day.
First up is an interview with Will Butler. Talks about the new album and his connection with suburban life.
Earlier in the day Win and Will was on NPR talking about the new album and officially premiering the 2 new songs to the Americans. They among other things revealed there will be a lot more of Régine on the new album which I'm extremely pleased to hear. Really missed her on Neon Bible. Check out the full 30 min interview here. Then Win spoke a bit to Zane Lowe but that interview was pretty forgettable.
What overshadowed everything though was of course the actual album announcement. Love the album art. Think it could look absolutely gorgeous on the vinyls. Goes without saying probably but I pre-ordered the "6) Double 12” Vinyl + premium digital + Limited Edition Screen Printed Poster (Designed by Wes Winship from Burlesque of North America)" package.
Oh and have you guys played enough yet with The Suburbs lyrics? Yeah? Me too.
