Scenes from the Suburb
The title, or at least working title, on the short film Spike Jonze and Arcade Fire are collaborating on could quite possibly be "Scenes from the Suburb", which would make sense for a lot of reasons. This postcard being one of them. The suburban theme/direction on the new album seems a certain at this point.

That is so cool! I hope that this isn't the teaser, or it'll mean that the album won't be out for some time... I mean, it seems like this would take a while, y'know?
Don't think the album will be out until August/September at the earliest. If so they've got all summer to finish the production on this short film. Should be enough.

Like I said twice - we're going to find out very very soon that:
1 - Luke Yocum did the album art;
2 - They covered Peter Gabriel's "Games without frontiers";
3 - The life in the suburbs pictures somehow inspired the new album!

spike jones was on my street last night filming. a production assistant said to look for the film mid-August.
